Challenge
DIG SOUTH reached out to BCKYRD with the need to produce video content and collateral for their annual tech conference, featuring the country’s top tech executives and entrepreneurs. Stanfield Gray, CEO of DIG SOUTH, wanted to ensure that BCKYRD captured the dynamic spirit and energy of DIG SOUTH, as well as its influence and impact on developing the South as a tech hub. Quick turnaround and flexibility were high on the list of priorities, as was discovering an efficient way to use video content for both evergreen and promotional marketing.
Approach
To guarantee that we were prepared from both a logistics and creative standpoint, our account team and content creators worked closely to map out references and timelines for the week conference. We explored an array of visual references from other local and national tech conferences (CES, Oracle, Marketo) to understand the look and feel, distribution, and audience. We knew the importance of capturing a diverse amount of footage to accurately tell DIG SOUTH's story, not only in the contents of the talks and speakers, but in the breadth of takeaways for tech executives, entrepreneurs, and the tech world.

Solution
We packed up our account, content, and marketing teams in Savannah and headed to Charleston. On site, we captured enough footage to produce eight videos spanning three themes: testimonials, company and speakers features, and culture. In two weeks post production, we delivered the completed videos alongside a designed newsletter to promote next year’s conference. Teaming up with BCKYRD provided DIG SOUTH the confidence, agility, and materials to use strategically within the year to come. We exemplified our skills in understanding the needs of DIG SOUTH organizers, speakers, attendees, and future prospects.
